This is the motto of all the Royal Rangers and of many other scouting groups all over the world.

The meaning of the motto

Royal Rangers are ready:

• to regard all human beings as God’s creatures and love them
• to protect creation as God decreed
• to remain cheerful and show valour even in difficult circumstances
• to take responsibility and obey orders
• to live simply, to share and to give
• to help and to save lives in an emergency
• to pray and work to the best of their ability
