Is there an age limit for joining?

The provision for children and young people ends when they come of age. Adults are used as co-workers. There is no age limit for this.

What are the requirements for membership?

Anyone from any walk of life can become a Royal Ranger - regardless of nationality, denomination or gender.

If you are a 30-year-old Christian with no background in scouting can you still get involved with the work?

Your age is (virtually) irrelevant. All adults are initiated in the basics and taught the techniques of the Royal Rangers at the NTC (National Training Camp). Our website has more information and dates of forthcoming NTCs.

What will it cost me to join?

Each outpost decides on its own membership fee. We have generally found that this varies from between two to 10 euros a month. Each Ranger is also required to buy the uniform and some literature, such as the logbook or various handbooks. These are sold on favourable terms in the outposts. Many outposts are willing to help financially if a child is unable to afford the cost of membership.

The Services section of this website has an outpost search facility. You can search for an outpost near you at your convenience and find the relevant contact details.

How often do you get together as an outpost or a team?

Meetings are generally held once a week, usually on Fridays or Saturdays. You can glean more detailed information from the outpost search facility or just ask your local outpost leader.

Can you also get printed information and leaflets?

Yes. The outposts keep a supply of leaflets for those who are interested in joining. The outpost leader is the contact person in this case. If it is not possible to make contact, then you can get in touch with us quite informally through our service address "info@royal-rangers.de" and ask for information.

Do I have to be a Christian to be allowed to come along?

No. Everyone is welcome!
