The age group of the 6 to 8 year old boys and girls the Royal Rangers call "Starter". Here a lot centers on games and fun but also particularly on getting to know nature. This is done through practical experience of nature, experiments and games that are meant to offer them a natural approach to nature and its handling. The Ranger Kids will grow in their social intercourse within the team through experiencing minor and major challenges together. Values like friendship, team spirit and the ability to work in a team will be encouraged and learned that way. There are six different stages which are based on each other. For every stage there is a booklet that describes an animal and its habitat. In this booklet issue-focused tasks are assigened to the kids. Once the tasks for one stage are solved the child gets a patch to sew on the shirt.
