The 9-11 year old ones are called the Explorers. Adventurous and creative programs for the meetings, playful challenges and practicing for the adventure as well as the participation in camps and Pow-Wows  define the work in this age group. Here the Advancement Trail is devided into four different stages, too: Observer, Discoverer, Explorer and Master. For the accomplishment of those stages the tasks are taken out of the areas of scouting and camping techniques, first aid and the bible.

They can train their social responisbility through serving in their church, their outpost, at home or at their fellow men. As an Explorer one is allowed to wear the gear ("Kluft") with the yellow-blue necktie which is typical for the Rangers.
